BIRTHDAY WEEKEND IN STOCKHOLM

Hey babes💕 And welcome back! I hope you had a great summer! ☀️

I had the best summer in Stockholm, Sweden😍🇸🇪 Also, it was my birthday a few weeks ago, and I really had the best time with my friends🤩

Since I was working on my birthday, I only went for some afterwork drinks with a few friends but we had the best night ever at one of Stockholm’s most famous rooftop bars – SuS🥳

Not being able to really celebrate on my actual birthday didn’t really bother me because I knew that one of my best friends would come visit me the day after and that we were gonna have a fabulous weekend🤪

We celebrated our reunion at another lovely rooftop bar, this time IMA, and enjoyed the view over the city😍

By now, you probably know that I really cherish good food, so of course I had to take her to my favorite brunch spot at Nobis Hotel🤩😋

Later at night, we walked up to Skinnarviksberget to enjoy one of Stockholm’s famous summer sunsets😍 The picture doesn’t do it justice at all! It was beautiful😊

We brought some chips and rosé for a little picnic, and luckily we also brought some sweaters because as soon as the sun was gone it got really chilly🙈

On Saturday, it was raining but that didn’t stop us from having a great day, so we went to Vasa Museum, probably Stockholm’s most famous museum😊 I was really hesitant to go there because I thought an entire museum about one single ship couldn’t be too exciting but everyone told me it was a must-visit in Stockholm and I gotta say, I’m really glad I went! The history of the ship is very unique and the museum does a fantastic job of telling it🤩

To check another Swedish tradition off our list, we had some fika after the museum😊 Fika can be translated into “drinking coffee while eating something sweet” and is definitely one of my favorite things about Sweden, it is just the coziest thing ever😍 Especially when you’re sitting in a cute café and it’s raining outside😊

On my friend’s last day in Stockholm, the sun came back, we had another beautiful day in the city and went for dinner at my favorite burger restaurant Brödernas😍 Again, the food in Sweden!! To die for🤤

What I loved about spending the weekend with my friend, was how excited she was to be there and how she instantly fell in love with the city😊 I can really say that I absolutely lived in the moment during those past six months and I cherished every single one. But seeing someone fall in love with the city you call your home now just makes it even more special😍 So thank you Jenny for being so enthusiastic and making me love Stockholm even more🤍

There will be one more blog post about Stockholm coming very soon🇸🇪 After that, I’ll have some travel content ready for you, so be excited for that😏✈️

Until then, stay healthy loves – I’ll talk to you soon💕
