FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX IN MONACO

This year, I had the incredible opportunity to cross a major point off my bucketlist and spend a phenomenal F1 weekend in my adopted hometown, Monaco.

I didn’t really make any specific plans beforehand, and even though people told me to plan ahead more, I am so happy I just winged the entire weekend because the best things just happened last minute.

While I was planning to spend the day at a beach party with my friend, she called me up and invited me to join her on board of the Seven Sins, which became known as the Bugatti Yacht this year. Our host, Tom Claeren, organized this major event for the F1 weekend and to makee the location even more special, he lifted a Bugatti on board of the yacht – what else would you do, right?

While there was a full on party going on on the boat next to us, the vibe on the Seven Sins was a bit more relaxed and classy, and we enjoyed every second of it.

After spending the entire afternoon and evening on board, having the most interesting conversations, and eating our way through the incredible buffet, we decided to still go to the beach party after all.

At Sunset, Monaco’s famous F1 beach party, we met all of our friends from uni and celebrated with them.

The next day, another great friend of mine invited me to watch the race together from her place. What a day! For the first time ever, Charles Leclerc won his home race and let me just say that the energy in Monaco was crazy!

From my friend’s terrace, we had a great view of the race track, as well as the port and I haven’t seen it this busy since the Monaco Yacht Show in September. It was so fun to watch all the traffic from a distance but now I am really happy for the trouble to be over soon and for Monaco to go back to normal 😀

I have shared a lot more about this amazing weekend on my instagram, so head on over there and check out my story highlights to get more insights into my once in a lifetime experience.

WINTER IN MONACO

One reason for why I decided to move to Monaco, was to escape the grey northern winter. So this year, my winter did indeed look a tiny bit different…

But before I get into all the crazy decorations, let’s start from the beginning when the days just started to get shorter and the wind started to blow colder…

After I have gotten used to warm weather quite easily, I was happy when the infamous Café de Paris Monte Carlo reopened after being under construction for years and especially when I discovered they served an incredible chocolat chaud, a hot chocolat. Clear recommendation!

So with the weather getting colder, I used every chance I get to enjoy the sun during my lunch break. I often got a small thing to eat from the supermarket and then went here, to Solarium Beach. The name gives it away – as soon as the sun shines, it gets really hot here, no matter what month we are in.

Before they started setting up the Christmas market, we first got to enjoy a little fun fair right down by the port. While it really wasn’t an extraordinary fair, it was still nice to meet up with friends and just stroll around for a bit, while stuffing our faces with all the food they offered there.

After all, we are still in Monaco, so every now and then, there is some fancy event you can go to. Here, I visited a Charity Gala at the Fairmont Monte Carlo, hosted by Club Vivanova.

When I don’t have anything specific to do on the weekends, I like to watch the incredible sunrises from my balcony and then go for a walk, enjoying the fresh winter air. Living right by the beach is not only great in summer, I can tell you that!

Eventually, december came around and let me tell you – no one does Christmas decorations like Monaco! There is not only the Christmas market by the port (which is by the way the best Christmas market location ever!) but also every single store and street is so beautifully decorated, you really get into the spirit very easily.

My personal Christmas highlight was of course the Casino Square and the surrounding Monte Carlo area, where they really went all out with the lights and decorations. On cold and dark evenings it was sometimes hard to leave my cozy apartment again but every time I went for a walk through Monte Carlo and looked at the lights, it just made me so happy, I really can’t wait for Christmas anymore!

I will log out for this year, head back to Germany and spend some time with family and friends now. So I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! Enjoy the time with your loved ones.

VISITING YACHT SHOWS IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE

This year, I had the pleasure of visiting not one, but two yacht shows in the South of France.

The yachting season started off with the CYF – the Cannes Yachting Festival. As a student at the International University of Monaco who chose the yachting specialization, we got the day off, so we could travel to Cannes and experience the event.

Since the festival was held only a few weeks after I started my master’s program, I didn’t know all too much about yachts yet but it was still very impressive and super fun to see all the incredible vessels and experience the industry first hand.

Of course, the “super yachting extension” was particularly impressive, so this was where we started asking to visit some yachts in-between the pre-booked showings for brokers and potential buyers.

We got lucky with two superyachts, when the crew had free slots in between meetings, so we got a spontaneous showing of those beautiful examples. Btw – to be classified as a superyacht, the vessel has to be generally over 100 feet in length and between 300 and 1,500 gross tons. In comparison, megayachts start from 260 feet and have a minimum of 1,500 GT.

After exploring and walking around all day, we eventually got tired and ended the day at a beach club in Cannes before heading back home to Monaco.

Only two weeks later, the yachting season continued, this time with the biggest European event of the industry – the Monaco Yacht Show. A few years ago, students from Monaco that were doing the yachting specialization still got tickets but ever since, the organizers wanted the event to become more exclusive, so they cut the deal with the university.

So now, one-day passes started at 600€… I had already accepted I wasn’t going when my neighbor came up to me and said that she had a spare ticket, asking me if I wanted to go with her. Of course I did!!

While there is a limit for the maximum size of boats being exhibited in Cannes, Monaco works the other way around. Here, yachts that want to be presented have to fulfill strict minimum requirements. Meaning that you really get to see the best of the best here.

In Monaco, getting a private showing of the boats is even harder. You often have to book your slot months in advance and you have to prove you are coming from the industry and want to see the yacht for a specific purpose.

Again, I got super lucky! I had a friend working at the MYS, so when I saw her, she asked the captain if by any chance he had a moment to show me around – and he did! Touring one of those extravagant vessels while having everything explained to you by the captain himself was really an exceptional experience.

After another long day, I decided to walk home and just reflect on the day and on how incredibly grateful I am to be living here and to get to be doing things like this.

After now having visited two different yacht shows in the South of France, of course I compared the two. And I honestly must say, Monaco was crazy with all its professionaal buzz, the speciaalization tents and the mega yachts. But if I had to choose, I would probably prefer going to the CYF rather than the MYS.

So if you ever happen to be in the area in September, you might want to consider going to the Cannes Yachting Festival. Even without any knowledge of yachting, it is a great experience and just like me, you might get lucky with a private tour 😉

MOVING TO MONACO

For as long as I can remember, I always saw myself moving to the South of France someday… Everyone who knows me always said that I was going to end up here eventually…

But I never thought that I would be able to make this dream become reality so early on in my life! So now, I am thrilled to share the start of this adventure with you!

By the end of August 2023, after I had moved back in with my parents and worked remotely for a few months, it was time to pack up my life, head to the airport, and start this new chapter…

Luckily, moving day went down really smooth and before I even realized it, I was already arriving in my new home.

Ever since moving here, I have been greeted by the most breathtaking sunrises every morning. Waking up with the sunlight and spending some time out on the balkony, enjoying a view like this… It is basically impossible to start the day in a bad mood.

After organizing all of my belongings that I brought with me, I eventually got out of the house to explore my new neighbourhood. I was happy to have my mom with me, who helped me move, and we spent the loveliest week together.

Since we have both been to Monaco before, there was absolutely no pressure to do the typical sightseeing, so we just had more time to get settled in my new home, enjoy summer and relax.

It was already starting to get colder in Germany, so quite some time was spent by the beach that week, just laying in the sun, enjoying the warmth. I still have to pinch myself regularly because I still cannot believe I actually live in such a beautiful place now, only a 10 minute walk away from the beach. Lunch breaks just hit differently when you can spend them swimming in the ocean!

But of course, there is a lot to see and to do in Monaco, so we eventually left the beach behind and went for a stroll through Monte Carlo. Observing the tourists taking pictures on Casino Square felt unreal, considerung that they would all go back home eventually but this time, I was not one of them. Instead, I was going to stay here…

To get down to the reason why I am even here: I am doing my Master’s degree at the International University of Monaco. I stumbled across this program about two years ago, back when I was still studying in Hamburg, and I just could not stop thinking about it eversince. So when it was time to decide whether I wanted to get a Master’s degree and if so, where – this was simply the only option I was really passionate about.

I noticed this specific building before, when I was in Monaco back in 2019, I was admiring the architecture, not knowing that it was a university. Thinking back now, knowing that four years later, I would actually live here and spent countless hours in that building… It just shows again, how life sometimes has this funny way of drawing full circles… Just because you cannot see them yet, does not mean they are not being drawn right this second. So maybe take this as a little reminder to take a deep breath, be patient, and trust the process 😉

After a week filled with countless walks, hours by the beach, and wonderful sunset dinners – eventually, it was time for my mom to go home and for me to start uni. Now, that I have settled in and gotten into a routine, I am determined to get back into documenting bits of my life on here. A lot is happening here in Monaco, so I really do not want to miss out on capturing all those special memories to look back on one day.

This was only the beginning of what I am sure is going to be an incredibly whirlwindy chapter of my life. I cannot wait to make all those special memories. And of course, I am going to capture them here. So stay tuned, there is so much more to come…

GUESS WHO’S BACK – I GRADUATED

26. October 2022

Hey babes! 💕 Guess who’s back – back again 😏 It’s me 🤩😂

After announcing I would be more active on here in my last post… well… I guess that didn’t happen 😅 whoopsie 🙈

I’ts been a few hectic months finishing my degree and writing my thesis but now that chapter is complete and I can finally say that I did it – I GRADUATED 🎉🤩

Since my university does not organize any graduation events, my friend and I simply decided to throw our own little party🥳

To celebrate four years of hard work, long hours, and numerous mental breakdowns (🤭😂), we popped some champagne in front of our uni building and said goodbye to the life we’ve known for the past years 🍾🥺👋🏼

After handing in my thesis, I sadly packed up my apartment because I had to move out the day after 🥺 Then I took a break from packing and went out for some drinks with my friends to celebrate some more 🥂

My parents visited the next day to help me move all my stuff and it was time to say my farewell to my first ever own apartment and the city that I fell in love with over the past four years 🥺👋🏼

So bye bye Hamburg, it’s been a blast 👋🏼💕 Now it’s time for new adventures 🤭😏

Talk to you very soon loves, get ready for some crazy travel content 😏🌴💕

I NEEDED A BREAK – MEGA RECAP OF THE PAST MONTHS

30. March 2022

Hey babes💕 I’ve been super MIA over the past months but I am back and hopefully better than ever💥 With this post, I wanna catch you up on everything that has happened over the winter, why I haven’t been posting, where I’m at now, and and and😊 So let’s get into it💪🏼

Let’s begin where we left off – I got back from my wonderful trip to Spain and started the new semester. And let me tell you, that one didn’t go easy on me🤭 Ever since I moved out of my hometown and started my studies here in Hamburg, I really struggled with seasonal depression but during this past winter it was definitely the worst it ever has been😞 That is also one of the main reasons I’ve been so absent on here – I just couldn’t bring myself to sit down and write blog posts when my head and whole body just felt so empty. On many days I couldn’t even bring myself to get out of the bed.

So now, I’m more than happy that the darker days are mostly over and the sun is starting to come back more and more – sunlight really is my main source of energy☀️😅

The one positive thing during the winter was a truly wonderful Christmas time at home😍 I could disconnect from all the work that was waiting for me, from all the upcoming exams that I had to study for, and from all the negative feelings. I felt so trapped in this period of life. After having the best time in Sweden last year, coming back to Germany just felt like a major setback in my personal development, I wasn’t happy with my studies and living situation anymore but couldn’t do anything about it because I knew I still had a year left to finish my degree.

So getting out of this rabbit hole of negative emotions by spending a lot time with my parents and old friends from school really helped me to gain some new energy😊 And as you can see – we got blessed with some beautiful sunny days and some snow even (which became really rare over the past years)❄️

Back in Hamburg, I fell right into the next hole and didn’t do anything but study for pretty much two months straight. I wanted to write as many exams and papers as possible so I could be able to finish my degree by this summer. It was a crazy lot of work but I pushed through and now I just started into my final semester this week, so yay, I’ll be done in a few months🤩 But more about that later…😏

During the semester break, I wanted to spend more time taking care of myself after spending so many weeks just working and studying👍🏼 I went back to my hometown again for two weeks and spent some quality time with family and friends. This brunch with my mom was SO nice and we both agreed we need to do this more often since she really doesn’t live that far away from me😍

After doing only home workout and not going to the gym for months because I didn’t want to get Covid or even a cold that would keep me from studying, I finally went back and trained with some weights again which felt so so good😍

To finish the semester break the right way, I spent some days in a wonderful wellness hotel by the Baltic Sea with a close friend of mine – we had a great time going for long walks by the beach, relaxing in the sauna, and eating great food🤩

Everything was perfect😍 Until… We got back and I tested positive for Covid😫 So yeah, the plan of making the best out of the last week of my semester break didn’t really work out – I spent it in quarantine instead😅 But hey, who knows what it’s good for, maybe that was the immunity boost I needed for getting back to uni next week😂🙄

To wrap it up – I survived the infection and 10 days of quarantine that seemed to be never ending😅 Now the new semester started but I’m in a very positive mindset because I know it will be my last🎉 I only have five months left here in Hamburg before starting a new chapter (I have no idea what that will look like btw but I guess I’ll figure it out lol😂) so now I’m keen to make the most of the next few months and I set myself the goal to be more active with the blog, so stay tuned for more regular updates in the near future😊

Until then, try to not get Covid loves, it’s no fun😂🥴 I’ll talk to you soon💕

RECAP: SIX MONTHS IN STOCKHOLM

15. October 2021

Hey babes💕 I hope you all had a great week so far!

I’m procrastinating on some university stuff right now and reminiscing about my time in Stockholm🙈 So I thought about doing a little recap of some of my favorite moments of my time in Sweden🇸🇪

This will definitely be one of my longer posts – we have a lot of good memories to look back on😊

Dieses Bild hat ein leeres alt-Attribut; sein Dateiname ist nybroplats.jpg.

Of course, I have to start this post with a typical Stockholm view – Nybroplats😍 From here, you can take ferries to various places around the city. Two of my favourite routes were the one to Djurgården (where I loved to go for long walks in the beautiful nature) and the one bringing you of of the city to the archipelago, the perfect location and travel distance for one-day- or weekend-trips🤩

Dieses Bild hat ein leeres alt-Attribut; sein Dateiname ist norr-macc88larstrand.jpg.

Speaking of water, one of my favorite spots to calm down a bit without having to leave the city was the small park at Norr Mälarstrand😊 I think the picture speaks for itself, so I won’t even try to explain the peace I felt everytime I went for a walk and watched the sunset there.😍

I was super lucky with my internship, my colleagues, and the location of my office, and since it only took a five minute walk from our office, we sometimes went for fun afterworks at Strandvägen ☺️🍸

Dieses Bild hat ein leeres alt-Attribut; sein Dateiname ist meeting-raum-stucc88hle.jpg.

At work, I got to spend a lot of time inside our really cozy conference rooms😂 But with comfy seats like these and a hot tea, those long calls weren’t bad at all😊

Dieses Bild hat ein leeres alt-Attribut; sein Dateiname ist sonnenuntergang.jpg.

Since my apartment was located outside of the city center, it was easy for me to enjoy countless beautiful sunsets at insanely pretty places like this one😍

And when I got home at night, my cozy apartment welcomed me. This apartment made me feel at home in a place where I’ve never been to before and where I started off without knowing anybody.😊

Dieses Bild hat ein leeres alt-Attribut; sein Dateiname ist img_1479.jpg.

Strolling around the city, I discovered places like this.😍 The spirit of Stockholm is unlike any other city I’ve been to. I can’t say what exactly makes it so special to me but during my time there I just felt – good.

After a 10 minute walk from my apartment, you got to Winterviken where I loved to go for a swim during the summer☀️

Dieses Bild hat ein leeres alt-Attribut; sein Dateiname ist midsommar.jpg.

Another thing I did during summer, was to celebrate Swedish Midsommar🤩 It was funny because we were a group of only German people, all spending some time working abroad, and we had the best day ever😂 We created our own little Swedish buffet, then brought it down to the water and had a picnic😍

If you’d ask me what I miss most about Stockholm, the great food would definitely be on the top my list😂🤤 I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed food as much as I did there, and I definitely gained some weight during the past months but it was soooo worth it😂🤩 Ugh, what I would do to have brunch at Nobis Hotel right now🤤

I’m gonna end this last Stockholm post the way I often ended my days there – with a beautiful sunset at Skinnarviksberget😍

I really had the best time and I know that I will happily look back on it forever, so thank you Stockholm for treating me this good, I’ll definitely be back soon!💕

If you want to see more of my favorite spots in Stockholm, you should check out the story highlight on my instagram!😍 https://www.instagram.com/jessica_schuetze/

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND IN STOCKHOLM

Hey babes💕 And welcome back! I hope you had a great summer! ☀️

I had the best summer in Stockholm, Sweden😍🇸🇪 Also, it was my birthday a few weeks ago, and I really had the best time with my friends🤩

Since I was working on my birthday, I only went for some afterwork drinks with a few friends but we had the best night ever at one of Stockholm’s most famous rooftop bars – SuS🥳

Not being able to really celebrate on my actual birthday didn’t really bother me because I knew that one of my best friends would come visit me the day after and that we were gonna have a fabulous weekend🤪

We celebrated our reunion at another lovely rooftop bar, this time IMA, and enjoyed the view over the city😍

By now, you probably know that I really cherish good food, so of course I had to take her to my favorite brunch spot at Nobis Hotel🤩😋

Later at night, we walked up to Skinnarviksberget to enjoy one of Stockholm’s famous summer sunsets😍 The picture doesn’t do it justice at all! It was beautiful😊

We brought some chips and rosé for a little picnic, and luckily we also brought some sweaters because as soon as the sun was gone it got really chilly🙈

On Saturday, it was raining but that didn’t stop us from having a great day, so we went to Vasa Museum, probably Stockholm’s most famous museum😊 I was really hesitant to go there because I thought an entire museum about one single ship couldn’t be too exciting but everyone told me it was a must-visit in Stockholm and I gotta say, I’m really glad I went! The history of the ship is very unique and the museum does a fantastic job of telling it🤩

To check another Swedish tradition off our list, we had some fika after the museum😊 Fika can be translated into “drinking coffee while eating something sweet” and is definitely one of my favorite things about Sweden, it is just the coziest thing ever😍 Especially when you’re sitting in a cute café and it’s raining outside😊

On my friend’s last day in Stockholm, the sun came back, we had another beautiful day in the city and went for dinner at my favorite burger restaurant Brödernas😍 Again, the food in Sweden!! To die for🤤

What I loved about spending the weekend with my friend, was how excited she was to be there and how she instantly fell in love with the city😊 I can really say that I absolutely lived in the moment during those past six months and I cherished every single one. But seeing someone fall in love with the city you call your home now just makes it even more special😍 So thank you Jenny for being so enthusiastic and making me love Stockholm even more🤍

There will be one more blog post about Stockholm coming very soon🇸🇪 After that, I’ll have some travel content ready for you, so be excited for that😏✈️

Until then, stay healthy loves – I’ll talk to you soon💕

STAYCATION IN STOCKHOLM

Hey babes💕 Again, it’s been a while🙈 I hope you’re all doing great🤩

Today, I wanna share some memories of last month when my friend from Germany came to visit me here in Stockholm😍

She spent a little over a week here and it was the first time I took some days off from work so I could really get into that touristy feeling showing her around the city I love so much and that I currently call home😊

We celebrated her birthday by having the best brunch at Nobis Hotel🥳😍 Honestly, the food is definitely one of my favorite things about this city😂 It is pricy but so worth it every single time🤩

Another thing I love about Stockholm is its architecture. The entire city is filled with the most beautiful buildings, I could spend hours just walking around and exploring all the different neighbourhoods.😊

Still one of my favorite spots – Strandvägen😍 Again, drinks are super pricy but sitting right by the water makes up for it🤪

I showed my friend around town and especially Östermalm, which is where I work and now, during the summer, it is even more stunning😍

We went for long walks by the water and just enjoyed the most perfect summer weather😍

If you know me, you know that I am an absolute summer girl, so I was really happy to wear all of my flowy summer dresses again😍 Now I only have to work on my tan a bit more☀️😂

We went to Mälarpaviljongen on her last night here and it really was the perfect ending to our wonderful week together😍 There, you sit on a dock on the water, so it has a very maritime vibe to it but you should probably stay in their garden area if you get seasick easily.😂

I was so happy to show her around Stockholm, shoutout to you girl, thank you for this fabulous week, I’m so happy to see you back in Hamburg very soon🙈

Also, some other friends will be visiting me over the next few weeks, so stay tuned for some more touristy Stockholm content🤩

Until then, enjoy your summer my loves💕

WORK WEEK AND WEEKEND GETAWAY

Hey babes💕 I hope you’re all having a great summer so far☀️ I know I’ve been a bit M.I.A. lately, there’s been a lot going on🙈 But, I’m back and very excited to be blogging again😊 So, let me give you an insight on what my weeks have looked like lately🤪

As this picture is showing, the weather has been INSANE lately😍 I am such a summer person and I really flourish when the sun is out and I can wake up to blue skies☀️ Also, I’m so so happy that I moved to Sweden for the summer because I know I just couldn’t take the long and dark winters and this weather just makes me so happy, you don’t even know😍

With the sun shining and setting super late, I’ve got way more energy to go out and do something after work, and that’s what I’ve been doing a lot.😁 My office is located in Östermalm, right by the water, so it only takes a 5 minute walk to get to places like this🤩

The prices are crazy but with a nice view like the one at Strandvägen you really don’t just pay for the drink – you also get the views of this beautiful city and a certain appreciation for moments like this because they just make you feel so grateful and smiley😊 So honestly, I’m ready to pay for an expensive Aperol Spritz anytime here😂

Work has also been extra fun in the past weeks🥳 We started a very big project that will take up a lot of the time I got left of my internship. Here, you can see parts of our setup for a video production we did to introduce the project to our customers and prospects – we’re all very excited for it🙈😍

Although we’re already in the middle of June now, I still wanted to share a picture of the crazily beautiful cherry blossoms that covered the entire city in May.😍 Walking past them every morning on my way to the office really set me in the best mindset, God, I really love the Swedish summer☀️🤩 And I think I actually became some kind of a morning person here – never thought that was possible😂

A few weeks ago, I left the city for the first time since moving here to spend the weekend at my friend’s country house😊 We had the best time just exploring the area😍

We got some iced coffe at this pretty Café and just walked around Gustavsberg, a small town near Stockholm😊

The little harbour is so cute, Stockholm is really the quietest city I’ve ever been to but this scenery just calmed me down even more😊 I could’ve sat there forever in the sun and just watched the sailing boats swaying in the blue water😍

On Saturday, we just took the car and went on a little roadtrip to explore some more😍 The entire trip was such a mood😂 We just drove down these endless roads listening to country music, we really had the best time🤪😍

To finish off this great weekend, we got some burgers at Brödernas, my absolute favorite😍 I always get the truffel burger with halloumi instead of meat and let me tell you – sooo good🤤🤤

This blog post has been a bit all over the place but I’m glad that I finally caught up and we’re back with the actual timeline😂 For now, this is all I got for you but the next post is already in the making, so it won’t take me another month to post it🙈😂 Until then, take care loves, I’ll talk to you soon💕

WEEK IN MY LIFE – LIVING IN SWEDEN DURING COVID

Hey babes💕 As some of you may know, Sweden has delt with the pandemic in a way that is quite different from most other European countries. After I spent most of 2020 in lockdown in Germany, I had to get used to the life here because it is so “normal” in comparison to what I experienced in Germany over the past months.😷

Luckily, I was able to spend the first few weeks of my internship here in the office and I really hope that it will re-open soon but right now I’m working from home because the office got shut down after some colleagues were tested positive for Covid😷 To get some impressions of my work at the office, you can read my blog post “First Week On The Job” which you can find here 🤩

So, for three weeks now, I’ve been working from home🙈 During my work days, I don’t really do much these days. I’m excited for summer, when the sunset is gonna be at around 11pm so that I still have time to do stuff after I finish work☀️

Staying at home all day and not having any important video conferences, I always try to put on a comfy outfit that still looks put together, so I feel a bit more awake and motivated😊 I either choose some flowy pants and a light blouse or a comfy sweatset as you can see in this picture🙈

When i finish work and the weather is nice, I love to explore Stockholm and spend time outside to get some sunlight☀️ The city has the most beautiful paths right by the water and I’ve been enjoying going for long walks there😍

As I said, Sweden deals with the pandemic in a different way than most other European countries. Here, shopping malls, restaurants, and bars are still open and people really live with this pandemic instead of shutting their doors and staying home. So on the weekends, I like to go have some drinks or nice food with friends to balance my work week with some social time😊

I haven’t been to a restaurant in so long because they’re all closed back in Germany🤭 The other day, I had the best burger I’ve had in a while when I went for lunch with a friend😍 We went to “Crème Stockholm” and it was so delicious🤤

To balance all the days spent at my desk and all the good food I’m having here, I try to workout at least five times a week💪🏼 I got into quite a good routine of working out directly after I finish work, so I can get comfy and cook dinner afterwards😊 Getting into a routine always requires self discipline but once you get used to it, you quickly feel the need of sticking to it because otherwise you feel like you missed some part of your day🙈 So just take it day by day when you try to create a routine for yourself and you’ll see, you’ll get used to it quicker than you might think!👏🏼

So currently, I’m just waiting for the weather to get warmer and the days to be longer but for now, I’m really happy with the routine I’ve created and am excited to see what other parts of Stockholm I can explore and what I’m gonna experience in the next months🙈😍 As always, take care loves, I’ll talk to you soon💕

FIRST WEEK ON THE NEW JOB

Hey babes💕 How are things going? I hope you’re all alright😊 As you might know from my previous post, I’ve moved to Sweden and startet a new job here🙈 I’m working in online marketing for a company that’s in the field of education management and I wanna tell you a bit about my first week🤩 Also, I have a few tips on how to survive the first week on a new job, which can be quite scary sometimes, so just keep on reading😊

The first thing I did to prepare was “going to work” the weekend before. That way, I already knew where to get out of the metro station, how long it would take me to get to the office, and I wouldn’t have to worry about not knowing where to go on Monday morning👏🏼

Everyone who has ever started a new job knows that the first weeks are very stressful because there’s so much to learn and you get overflowed with new information. Don’t let that stress you out! Take your time to get used to all the new processes at your own pace.

I was blessed with the greatest team of collegues I have worked with so far!🤩 They were super welcoming and wanted me to know that I should not feel pressured or stressed by all the new information, that I would certainly get used to it after a few weeks, and that I could always always always ask anyone for help if I needed it! That made me feel extremely secured and welcomed straight away😊😍

To get to know the team and the tasks as best as possible during my first week, I spent a lot of time in meetings with the different team members telling me all about their daily working schedules.

Our office is super cozy! It is a very open space but we have a lot of small meeting rooms you can book whenever you need some quite time to talk on the phone or to conduct meetings😊

Getting used to the new schedule of working 40 hours a week was quite hard on me. Especially being a full time student, I was used to having slow starts of the day and didn’t follow any time efficient quick morning routine⏰

Since I hate having hectic mornings, I choose to set my alarm a bit earlier than necessary, so I can really enjoy my breakfast and my morning coffee and have some time to wake up and get ready for the work day☕️

Being an absolute summer person, I still wonder if moving to Sweden was the best decision, every time I walk through the freezing cold🥶 But at least the sun rises super early when you’re this far up north, so I can enjoy my breakfast in the sun at 6am every morning😍 Lately, I’ve been having some vegan coconut joghurt with granola and some roasted apples with cinnamon, and yum!🤤 It’s so good!😋

This week, it almost felt like spring because it was super sunny every day☀️ I went for a walk along the water and it was so nice😍 Stockholm is such a beautiful city, I really cannot wait for the summer when I’ll be able to walk the streets in a light summer dress instead of layers and layers of warm winter clothes😂🥳

It’s so crazy to me, how it feels like yesterday when I got the job and started to realize that I would be moving to Sweden and now I’ve already been here for half a month and finished my first week at work🤭 Luckily, I had the smoothest experience ever and I wanna share some tips, that I think can be very helpful when you’re nervous about starting a new job!

5 tips on how to survive the first week on a new job:

Start building relationships – Take the initiative to introduce yourself to your new team members! This can be very hard, even for extroverts, but getting to know your collegues, having small talk or even lunch dates with them, will make you feel so much more comfortable at work because you will quickly feel like a part of the team and not like being “the new one” anymore!😊

Get organized and build habits – Whether it’s your morning routine at home, how you spend the first ten minutes after arriving at the office, or how you schedule small breaks throughout the day… Getting into habits really helps with feeling less insecure and more like you know what you’re doing👏🏼

Don’t be afraid to ask a lot of questions – You just started. You are still new at the job. No one will expect you to already know everything or to do the impossible. Asking questions isn’t a sign of insecurity – actually, it is the exact opposite! It shows your managers and collegues that you are eager to learn and really want to understand everything you’re being taught💡

Set expectations with your manager – As I said, no one will expect you to do the impossible but knowing what exactly is expected from you will minimize your insecurity during your first weeks. Just schedule a meeting with your manager, where you talk about his/her expectations towards you and about what you think you will be able to achieve during your first days. If you openly communicate your struggles, no one will rip off your head, trust me! Just address it right away, so it won’t be an unpleasant surprise when everyone thinks you’re keeping up but then you don’t reach your goals. If you followed the previous step of building a relationship with your team mates, they will most probably be happy to help you out!😊

Show appreciation – for the people helping you! Whether they just answered a quick question, or took a task off your schedule – always be thankful and appreciative! Your team mates will feel like they did a really good thing with taking weight off your shoulders and they will be willing to do it again💪🏼

Alright, alright, alright! So far, so good😁 With these few tips, the blog post got quite long, so I’m just gonna end it here and wish you all a beautiful Sunday😊 Take care, loves💕

I MOVED TO SWEDEN

Hey babes💕 I’m back – and I got news!🙈 I moved to Sweden!🤪 OMG, I still cannot really wrap my head around it… But damn, I moved to Sweden😂

Okay, step by step, I’m gonna tell you everything😊

So, as some of you may know, I’m studying foreign trade and international management back in Hamburg, Germany. Part of this bachelor’s degree is a mandatory internship abroad. With everything going on with the global pandemic, I was looking for a country in which it was as probable as possible that my internship would take place and not be cancelled.

So I chose Sweden🇸🇪

After finishing my final exams, I packed up my apartment, brought my stuff back to my parents’ house, and got ready for the move🙈 I had to take two different covid tests but luckily, everything went super smooth😊 Being back at airports felt so weird after all this time of being stuck at home with my wanderlust🤩

My apartment here is super cozy, it instantly felt like home😍 I was looking for quite a long time before I found it and god damn believe me, it wasn’t an easy journey… It’s quite a long story, so I’m gonna talk about that in a separate post… 🤭

Anyways, I’m very happy to have arrived one week before I start my internship, so I have a few days to settle in and to explore the city😊

Today, the sun woke me up and I started my day with coffee in bed☀️ I was super excited to go out and explore the city😍 So that’s what I did:

I took a long walk through the city and, as most of the times when I explore new places for the first time, I didn’t really use a map, I just wandered around and eventually followed the sun to the waterfront😍 I found so many beautiful spots just on that one walk today, I can’t wait to see what other places I’ll find on my next strolls around town😊

I mean, seriously?😍 Look at this, it’s so beautiful🤩 I’m super excited to start my internship next week but then I’ll be working full time and won’t have that much time to explore, which makes me a bit sad🙈 I just hope that I’ll quickly adapt to that new rhythm and will have enough energy to use the upcoming weekends to further explore this stunning city😍

I’ll be back next week with a recap of my first week at work and further info on my internship, my apartment and everything else but for now, I’ll enjoy this sunny weather and try to make the most of my free time😊 Have a great weekend loves💕

LIFE UPDATE: I’M BACK

Hey babes💕 I’m back😍 I hope you’re all doing great! Please please please excuse my absence on here lately, I had a very stressful month with all my final exams🙄😴 I want to quickly update you on everything that has happened during this last month and then I’ll give you a little preview to something huge that is coming up in the next few weeks and that will really change my life and the content on here🙈🤪

The first thing: we finally had some snow up here😍 The last time the snow really lasted longer than just a few hours was years ago and I almost can’t remember it anymore, so this winter makes me really happy😊 I went for countless walks here in Hamburg but also back home with my parents in Bremen🌨

I’m super lucky to have a beautiful forest right down my street where I basically go for daily walks right now, it’s just too beautiful to stay inside when the sun is out like it has been the last few days☀️😍

One of the bigger updates is that we have a new family member🐶😍 Say hi to Pino everyone!🥳 Is he not the cutest little fluff ball ever?!?!🤩 He is a chihuahua maltese mix, so he will always stay this small and adorable, I’m so excited and so sad at the same time because I’m not living at home anymore and will not be able to spend as much time with him as I’d love to🥺

Today, I handed in one of the biggest portfolios I’ve ever written and since I was too lazy to cook for myself, I just rewarded myself with some pasta from my local Asian restaurant🙈 It was super delish, I’m so happy they offer pick-up during the strict lockdown that Germany is currently in👏🏼🥰

Last week, my mom visited me to actually help with something regarding the huge update that’ll be happening soon🙈🤩 Gosh, I’m so excited to share the news on here, but hang in a bit longer, it’s not quite the time yet😏 We had a wonderful mother-daughter-day, I really wish we did that more often🥺😍

We ended the night with… of course, food🤩😂 We had some Nachos and deep talk before she drove back home, it was such a perfect day😊😍

So, for now I can just say that I’m very happy to be back on here and I’m so excited for all the changes that are coming up and that I certainly will share on here!!!🥳 They were actually the reason why I started this blog in the first place, so you can look forward to some more diverse content than just my boring quarantine life here in Hamburg😂

Until next time loves, stay healthy💕

CHRISTMAS RECAP 2020

Hey babes!🎅🏼 I know I’m a little bit late to the party, everyone’s been posting about their Christmas but I just didn’t get to it😬Forgive me, I hope I can still make you happy with some belated Christmas content😊

My parents picked out a cute little Christmas tree and we moved the couches so we could all sit around it😊 With everything going on with the pandemic, we were happy to be a very small family so we weren’t really affected by the restrictions.

Here in Germany, we celebrate Christmas mainly at Christmas Eve. I know this differs from country to country, so when do you celebrate Christmas where you live?🎄 I’m really interested to know😍

As long as I can think back, we always ate Raclette at Christmas Eve. Do you know this dish? You have one grill in the middle of the table where you can put meat and vegetables on top and then everyone has their own small pan which they can cover with whatever they like and then put it inside of the grill🤤 I absolutely love it! It’s super social and communicative because you always have to ask someone to hand you this or that and you talk about what you’re putting on your little pan😊 For me, this is a part of Christmas that I am super excited for every year😍

On Christmas day, the sun surprisingly came out, so I went for a long walk with my mom☀️I’m such a summer person and I haven’t seen a blue sky in way too long, so this walk made me super happy😍

Ugh, look at this😍The park we went to is called “Bürgerpark” and is the biggest park in Bremen, my hometown. The last time I went for a walk here was probably five years ago or longer, I should really go more often when I’m here, it’s so beautiful🤩

Another Christmas tradition that I know is not celebrated everywhere is Boxing day. In German, we simply call it “Zweiter Weihnachtstag” – second day of Christmas basically😊 We always spend this day at my grandma’s house and she always cooks the very best food🤤Grandmas are just the cutest, aren’t they?😍

Today, I’m fully embracing the typical week between Christmas and New Years, doing nothing, eating a ton, and watching a lot of movies😂 It almost feels like an unwritten law for this week to be nothing but a super lazy and cozy week at home😊

Usually, I don’t write down any new year’s resolutions but I think about doing some alternative version of it this year for the blog to look back at it next year and to see how they worked out. What do you think? Should I do that?😏

I hope you all enjoy your last week of this crazy year and can reflect a bit about it all, how you grew as a person, what this weird time taught you, what you take with you into the next year, and what you want to leave behind🥰

Even though, nothing will just suddenly change when the clock strikes midnight tomorrow, we can still see it as a fresh start to a lighter mindset, to gain some energy to get through this together and to remind ourselves that these times will pass and we just have to stay strong and safe to defeat this virus.

I wish you all a very happy and healthy new year, stay safe tomorrow and don’t forget that we will be able to come together and hug our loved ones again and to party again and to do all the stuff we love again – we just have to keep pushing a little further💪🏼

I wish you all the best for 2021!💕

DECEMBER WEEKEND

Happy Sunday babes!💕I hope you had a great week! My workweek was extra stressful, so I was super excited for a very chilled weekend☺️ I drove home to my parents to spend Christmas here and my mom already decorated the entire house, so cozy!🎅🏼😍 Waking up to sunshine on Saturday for one of the first times this month felt so good!☀️ I enjoyed my morning coffee and the sparkling christmas tree and got motivated to do a workout🤩

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been getting back into stretching for more than just my regular five minutes at the end of my workout and I can already see some good progress in my flexibility which is really motivating😍

Although my workout was super exhausting and it felt like my abs were killing me at one point, I always feel sooo good afterwards😅🤩 I started listening to motivational speeches while letting my body cool down after the workout and wow! This really gets me in the right mood to tackle the day, I absolutely recommend💪🏼

After a long shower, I spend the afternoon outside and watched this incredible sunset☺️ Gotta say, sometimes I really miss this view back in Hamburg🥺 I mean, look at this🤩

When it got dark outside, I cooked a vegan Chili sin Carne for my family☺️I love this recipe, you can find so many different options online, I found this one on pinterest: https://www.pinterest.de/pin/32017847340410542/?d=t&mt=login

I really enjoy spicy food on the colder days, they warm you up from the inside and are also super delicious😋😋

It’s getting late now, so I’m gonna go to bed😴 I’ll probably get back to you after Christmas, so enjoy the holidays with your loved ones and remember to stay safe!🎅🏼😷

I wish you all a very merry Christmas week🎄 Good night loves💕

A TYPICAL AUTUMN DAY

Happy Monday babes!💕I hope you’re all doing fine☺️The weather is getting colder❄️ and the days are getting shorter. Today has been a very cozy and normal day, so I decided to share with you, what my typical days look like at the moment.🍂

I started the day with some green tea☕️, avocado toast 🥑and a very tiring online lecture😴This is what my mornings look like nowadays – sitting at my desk with some nice food and a. lot. of. tea.☕️

After studying for some hours, I always feel the need to get some fresh air and exercise. Over the last few weeks, I’ve developed the habit of going for long walks – either around the city lake “Alster” or in the woods that are right across my street.🍂

On a weekday like today, I love to walk through the parks and beautiful neighbourhoods around the city lake because it’s not as crouded as on the weekends. In Hamburg, we have a very mild autumn this year and since it’s not been raining that much, the leaves are all dried up in beautiful colours🍂

With the weather getting colder, my clothes getting thicker and the sunset coming sooner, I really start to get into that cozy Christmas feeling already🎅🏽Is it too early for that or are you feeling the same?🎄I think it’s never too early for a cozy night on the couch with maybe some Christmas music, a cozy movie, fresh cookies straight out of the oven and a warm tea or hot chocolate in your hand😍

In the evening, a friend came over to my apartment and we had some very delicious sushi🍣 After working all day, you sometimes just have to treat yourself with a relaxed night and I think that great food is one perfect way to do that😅😍

That is all for today, I hope you had a great Monday!☺️

Enjoy the rest of your week and as always – stay healthy loves!💕

RENOVATING MY OLD ROOM

Hey babes! Due to the Corona Virus and my three month semester break – which is almost over now – I spent the last couple of months at my parents’ house and had a looot of freetime. So I decided to paint and redecorate my old room.

Since I’m an only child and I couldn’t meet my friends (thanks Covid…), I had to do it by myself. I knew I wanted a pretty minimalistic look, so I drove to the local hardware store, bought white paint and the supplies I needed, and just started.💪🏼

Here is everything I bought at the hardware store👆🏼. Btw, I only spent about 55€ for the entire project! Isn’t that so cool how little money you only need to make such a big difference??💸

The first step was preparing the room – which meant covering the whole floor, the heater, the window frame, and my large wardrobe with foil.

Then I started painting – and man – it was fun! After finishing the second layer on the second day, I was really exhausted and my hands felt like they were dying when I continued with building the new furniture I got – but it was absolutely worth it and I was also a bit proud of doing it all by myself – start to finish. That’s the independent woman vibe we’re going for ladies! 😝💪🏼

Here, I have a little before and after photo – you can clearly see how the yellowish wall color disappeared and the whole vibe is way more modest and mature. I love it.😍

I have now returned to Hamburg for the new semester, so I couldn’t really finish decorating – but I will update you on the finished look as soon as I get back to it! Until then, this is all for now. I hope you all have a wonderful week!💕
